  • Salary Range: £21,000 and £33,000 p.a.
  • Job Summary: We're searching for someone to be our behind-the-scenes "stage manager" for our virtual learning spaces. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our classes, webinars and events by managing technical aspects, assisting participants with technical issues, and supporting our facilitators.

What you'll do

  • Set up the virtual environment according to the security protocols and event needs, ensuring audio, video and IT equipment are working properly, and briefing volunteers or other staff on their technical roles.
  • Monitor and utilise the chat function to provide attendees with the necessary instructions or links to support their experience, whilst managing participant access and troubleshooting technical difficulties. 
  • Support presenters and facilitators with screen sharing, slides and the coordination of breakout rooms.
  • Managing any post-delivery assets, like recordings or files. 

What you'll bring

  • 3 to 5 years of related professional experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Business Management, Psychology, etc.).
  • Subject matter expertise in: 
    • maintaining the necessary understanding and application of security protocols, data protection practices and system vulnerabilities, 
    • developing the knowledge required to effectively utilise platforms which support a virtual delivery format, including features like breakout rooms, screen sharing, audio/visual controls and chat functions, and
    • tracking, reporting and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise in real-time.
  • Proficiency with tools such as webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoToWebinar, Zoho, etc.), presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint, etc.), and audio/visual equipment (e.g. microphones, webcams, headsets, etc.). 
  • Evidence of desirable soft skills, including communication, customer service, time management, adaptability and problem-solving.
  • Previous experience working within the training and development space would be an advantage.
